New Council Members

College Council and staff would like to welcome our two new Council members – Karen Smith and Lora Brenan!

Between March 10 and 24, denturists were able to cast a vote to determine who the next regulated Council member would be. The College received 141 votes from denturists.

From this process, Karen Smith is the most recent regulated member on Council. Karen’s term started April 1, 2022 and extends to December 31, 2024.

This change coincides with the departure of Megan Skarsen from Council. Megan has served on Council since 2016 and her contributions are immeasurable. Council and staff would like to sincerely thank Megan for her hard work and numerous hours spent.

And then on April 20, 2022, there was an Order in Council from the Government of Alberta appointing Lora Brenan as our newest public member.  Welcome Lora!  Lora’s term is effective immediately and ends April 19, 2025.

The College would also like to thank Dustin Schinbein for his perspective and knowledge in his 3 1/2 years of service to the College. Council awaits the appointment of two more public members.
