Message from the College

Hi everyone,

It’s hard to believe that summer has flown by again – we hope that everyone enjoyed and made the most of the season!  I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to our new newsletter – bytes!  In it we will be providing you with current and relevant information for your practice and the profession as well as news from the College and ways for you to get involved.  This is all under our newly branded identity. Council wanted to bring the College forward with a more modern vibe to recognizing our history and signifying moving ahead as a current yet forward thinking organization.

One of the biggest projects that the College has undertaken this year is a redevelopment of our website and registration system. Our new website which launches today facilitates our rebranding in the public eye increasing transparency for members and the public – a prominent trend in regulation today. We are also at a new domain – www.abdenturists.ca! With this, all staff email addresses have also changed.

Our registration system development has significantly streamlined the process for both us as members and staff.  You will notice a huge difference when you do your registration renewal starting October 1. Be sure to let College staff know if you have any hiccups as you move through the new process this fall.  You will see new declarations so please be sure to read carefully.

Over the coming months, there will be opportunity for you to be involved and enact self-regulation. Your feedback is needed – so watch your email for surveys and calls for volunteers.  Remember, the time you spend interacting with the College in this manner is applicable to your Continuing Competence Program requirements!

Council is excited about the road that the College is taking and looks forward to a strong and dedicated organization which regulates to ensure that Albertans receive safe, professional and ethical denturist services.
