Council Connection

Council is pleased to announce the installation of new Council officers. At its last meeting, on September 25, 2026, Council determined that Sunny Grewal will be the new Council Chair. Sunny has served on Council since 2023, most recently in the role of Vice Chair. Prior to being on Council, Sunny was an active member of the Registration Committee and also assisted in the registration exam development and administrative roles.

Council has also instituted the ability to have more than one Vice-Chair and is pleased to announce two new Vice Chairs – David Fedechko and Lesley Williams. David has been on Council since early 2024. David has prior experience in executive roles within the profession, and we are happy to have him join Council executive to pass on the knowledge and lessons he has learned from this. Lesley Williams, once of Council’s public members, holds the ICD.D designation recognizing her experience and knowledge in board governance. Being on Council since 2025, we are excited to also welcome Lesley to the new executive role.

Council would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Lora Mattie as she moves on from her role as a public member on Council and its most recent Chair. Lora brought a breadth of experience and knowledge in governance, and she will be missed very much. Council and staff would like to extend best wishes to Lora as she moves onto new adventures.
