Council Nominations

College Council is the governing body that sets the strategic direction of the College in the public interest.  If you are a big-picture thinker who wants to get involved, Council may be the right fit for you! This year, there are three Council vacancies to be filled by the regulated membership.

Council usually holds three to four meetings per year in Edmonton.  They are typically day-long meetings that require a couple hours of preparatory time in reading the material presented for the meeting.  Your expenses will be reimbursed as per College policy and you will receive remunerative compensation for your preparatory time, your travel time to and from the meeting and your time at the meeting.

This year, in terms of the Council nomination and election process, things have changed a bit. Please refer to the Council nomination information brochure that may be found here. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Dacia Richmond, Registrar, for more information. Council is a great way to get involved with the College and not only give back to your profession, but ensure that Albertans receive safe, professional and ethical denturist services.

The Nominations Committee will review and vet the nominations once received. If enough nominations are presented to Council, by the committee, for an election, this will be held online via a secure election platform. Please ensure that your personal email address is in your registration profile as each member will receive their ballot via this route.

The Nominations Committee will be accepting nominations for Council vacancies by email, fax or regular mail to the College office.  All nominations (the competed nomination form and accompanying responses to the questions posed) must be received by the College by 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2019.
