What if I haven't renewed yet?

The registration renewal window was open for the College from October 1 to November 30.  If you have not yet received an approval email from the Registrar, your practice permit is not considered renewed.  If this applies to you, please know that you must renew your practice permit immediately.  Failure to do so by December 31, 2019 will result in suspension of your practice permit.

What do I have to do?

If you have completed aspects online, please check your emails as you will have been contacted explaining what is outstanding.  Alternatively, it could be that your fees have not been received by the College.

If you have not completed the online portion, please log into your profile and complete the renewal process.  As you have missed the renewal deadline, an additional administrative fee of $400 will be applied to your invoice.

Please know that all documentation and funds must be received by the College prior to your permit being approved.

But I paid by cheque?

If you paid by cheque and your renewal has not yet been approved, your funds have not yet been secured by the College.  We must wait to ensure that funds are permanently received prior to renewal approval.

When is the office open?

Each year the College office is closed for the Holidays.  We will be closed from December 24, 2019 to January 1, 2020, inclusive.

What if I need assistance?

Please call or email the College.  We understand that this is a new system that will take a bit of time to get used to but hopefully it is straightforward and intuitive for you.

What if my renewal is not approved by December 31, 2019?

If your renewal is not approved, for justifiable reasons, by December 31, your practice permit will be suspended.  You may not work as a denturist while your practice permit is suspended.

If I am suspended, what can I do?

There are three possible outcomes:

  1. If a complete renewal application is received by the College, including all applicable fees, by January 7, 2020, the Registrar can approve your renewal and you can resume work once your practice permit has been reinstated. You must receive notice that your permit has been reinstated prior to resuming work. To reinstate between January 1 and 7, an additional administrative fee will apply.
  2. If a completed renewal application is not received by the College, including all applicable fees, by January 7, 2020, you will be required to complete a full application. This will include, but may not be limited to, submission of:
    1. Application form
    2. Applicable fees
    3. Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
    4. Two character references
  3. If you do not reinstate your practice permit by January 31, 2019, as per the Health Professions Act, your registration and practice permit with the College will be cancelled.
