Standards of Practice

The Health Professions Act requires that all Colleges develop and maintain Standards of Practice for the profession. Accordingly, the College of Alberta Denturists has developed Standards of Practice that establish standards of professional conduct expected of denturists in fulfilling their duties to their patients, the public and the profession.  The standards are in three modules:

Part I – General

Part II – Patient Record Keeping

Part III – Infection Prevention and Control

New Standards of Practice

Please be advised that Council has approved a new Standards of Practice that will come into effect, and be enforceable, on January 1, 2022. At that time, the current Infection Prevention and Control and Recordkeeping standards will become guidelines under the new Standards of Practice until new Guidelines are approved. Until then, the current Standards of Practice remain in effect.

The new Standards of Practice may be found here: Standards of Practice – January 1, 2022
