Call for Volunteers

The College is looking for denturists work with the College in the professional conduct processes. Time spent on these activities are eligible for use in the denturist’s Continuing Competence Program.

All participants will be compensated by the College for their time, and any other expenses, as per the College’s expense and remuneration policy.

Hearing Tribunal/Complaint Review Committee Roster

This roster of regulated denturists works with members of the public provided by the government to deliberate on matters that have been referred to hearing or appealed through the Complaint Review Committee.  The College must maintain a larger roster of regulated members in order that those chosen for a given assignment are not in conflict either with their own schedules or with those being the subject(s) of the proceedings.

Subject Matter Experts

The College continues to invite denturists in good standing with the College and with at least 5 years of experience to act as experts in the complaints process.

When a complaint is received by the College that is denture-related and involves technical expertise, the Complaints Director can request a report from an expert. As a denturist you could be considered this expert.

You would be asked to provide a report on what you see and assess about the case presented to you. This will most likely be able to be done remotely. The time commitment will most likely be small (1-5 hours) but some complaints are more complex and may take more time.

You would be expected to provide a written report to the College on the findings of your assessment. This report will be used by the Complaints Director in their assessment of next steps for the complaint and/or in a hearing.

Please note that to avoid potential bias or conflict of interest, experts cannot be involved in a current College conduct matter nor be members of Council or the Hearing Tribunal list.
