In an effort to set a national standard for the profession of denturism, the College is transitioning to a national platform for the registration exam. This will uphold the integrity of the profession by setting a clear standard for the practice of denturism in Canada.
Currently, College Councils in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario have agreed to move forward on this initiative with conversation ongoing with all other denturist regulators in the other seven provinces and three territories to bring everyone into alignment.
Going forward, Ontario, BC and Alberta will be administering a common multiple-choice examination in June 2021. This will be held regionally with controls and considerations in place for the security and fairness of the exam and the exam process. Council is very excited to move forward with this process to elevate the profession, uphold the integrity of our exam process and undergo cost-sharing measures to continue to offer our robust and industry-leading exam into the future.
If you would like to be involved in this groundbreaking process, the College is looking for volunteers for exam blueprinting work. If you are interested or have further questions, please contact the College at drichmond@abdenturists.ca.
