Legislative and Policy Changes

In response to the ongoing work and requirements of Bill 46: The Health Statutes Amendment Act 2020 (No. 2), all health Colleges have been preparing for large scale changes to our regulations. This has involved, over the last two years, the College changing the Standards of Practice, Bylaws, and policy. These changes are also accompanied by amendments to the Health Professions Act and Denturists Profession Regulation.

Through all this, it is important to recognize that the requirements for denturists have not changed – the only thing that has changed is where the rule or law is now kept.

These legislative changes are effective March 31, 2023 and may be found on the King’s Printer in the coming weeks.

With these changes, the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) Rules have also been updated. These may be found in the CCP Guide on the College website here: CCP Information.
