Professional Representation

As regulated health professionals, all denturists are responsible to ensure that they are representing themselves appropriately in all modes of communication.  With an increasing number of social media platforms and modes of advertising, denturists must ensure that they are only representing themselves as a denturist and not as another healthcare professional, unless they have dual registration with two regulatory bodies.

For example, in your online profiles, whether personally or for your business, it must not be misleading as to the nature of your services.  You cannot list yourself as a dentist or give the impression for the public that you could be perceived as one. You may also be contracting a third-party, to develop and manage your website, who actually does not completely understand the nature of your business or your regulatory requirements.  Please ensure that the information provided by these third parties is not inappropriate including the prudent use of protected titles.
