Each year the College administers a fair, robust, and defensible registration examination. This process however cannot happen or exist without denturists, the subject matter experts. As we transition to a multijurisdictional MCQ for June, some of our processes have shifted, and we are operating as if the OSCE is also taking place in June.
The College is seeking denturists to act as:
- Standard setters
- Standard Setters work with the psychometrician (testing expert) and each other to determine the passing scores for the exams.
- OSCE Standard Setting is in person, in Edmonton, on May 14-15. There is mandatory preparation, online, during the weekend of May 1-2, 2021. A intro to the mandatory preparation will be presented on April 30 in videoconference.
- MCQ Standard Setting is taking place virtually in July. Exact date to be determined.
- OSCE Assessors
- this group of denturists receives training on assessing candidates during the OSCE and performs the assessment. Both activities are in person in Edmonton.
- Assessor training is tentatively booked for June 4, 2021
- OSCE is taking place on June 19, 2021
