College Council and staff would like to thank regulated members for their commitment to self-regulation through two recent activities! On September 18, two milestones were reached by the College.

CCP Rules Consultation
On September 18, the consultation period for the CCP Rules closed after being available for members for over a month. In that time period 73 denturists or 23% of the regulated membership provided their input and feedback.  Thank you!  In terms of surveys, a response rate of 10% is considered good – and you more than doubled that!

The comments will be considered, and Council will review the proposed rules at their November meeting.  Details for the plan going forward will be shared with members later this fall.

2020 Membership Meeting
September 18 was also the date of the 2020 College membership meeting. Almost 1/3 of the membership registered for the meeting which lasted about 1.5 hours.

In the meeting, following updates from our Council President, Megan Skarsen, our Council public member, Dustin Schinbein and College Registrar, Dacia Richmond, questions from regulated members were addressed by Megan and staff. Everyone is very happy with the high level of engagement by regulated members in this process and the number of questions received. We are hoping that this leads to more positive, respectful College interactions with the members.

As we had been implored, because of the pandemic, to move the meeting to an online format, we are looking for your feedback.
